      Regional Operations Manager Interview

      May 22, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Amsterdam
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Uber (Amsterdam) in Apr 2017

      Interview

I was approached by an Uber recruiter. At first, the application process was going really well. The interviews were scheduled one after another. There was an analytical test followed by a couple of conversations. So far so good. Then I was contacted by a person from a different department who wanted to discuss with me possibilities about opening within his team. I was pleased to learn that he found my profile intriguing, but stated that my interest is with the role I was initially contacted for. What followed was an inability on his side to inform me what does his intervention mean with regards to my ongoing application and what the further processes will be, he told me that the recruiter will have all those answers for me. This was the last time I have heard from Uber. Given that they contacted me and I invested time and effort to attend the numerous interviews and do the tests and assessments at least a courtesy call or some feedback would have been nice. The lack of any communication after an interruption on their side of a process that they initiated left me with a very negative impression of what was a overall nice experience.

      Interview

Very poor communication, weeks between contact with the recruiter, despite reaching out to them and letting them know that I have other processes running. One of the interviewers during the case study phase was clearly disinterested and was not shy to show it in terms of body language.

      Interview

Very pleasant. A recruiter reached out, then spoke to her on the phone about what I am currently doing and what the job would entail. Very typical interview. I already had a job offer that I was excited about and going to take so I did not continue with the interview process.
