It took 6 weeks of back and forth with a recruiter and a few of the people at Ubiquiti to get to a decision. Along the way I discovered that no one really knew what role they were really hiring for and appear very disorganized. The recruiter sent one job description and then said that wasn't really the position they were looking to fill. I had a phone interview and an in person interview at the Portland office where we discussed a different position that the company needs to fill. After that interview they said that they would like to have me back for an interview with the owner who controls 70% of the company shares and appears to be involved in almost every company project. I arrived on time and then had to wait 50 minutes for a 5 minute interview with the owner. The questions he asked sounded like he was looking for a different hire and he appeared not to have any context for who I was or why I was there.
