I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ubisoft (Montreal, QC) in Jan 2017
Interview
HR wrote back to me on LinkedIn(after I sent my CV) and asked to call me for some basic questions, then said she would keep me updated on the next steps.
Wrote back 1 week later for interview at Ubisoft.
Went there, did the interview(really nice interview, good questions,no cheap shot)and got a call back 1 week after for an offer.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Ubisoft (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2022
Interview
The video interview was pretty good. We talked mostly about technical details, expectations and went really well. I was already well informed about their game engine, expectations for the game engines since I was a huge fan for years. It felt like we were pretty much on the same page the whole time. A couple of days later I was asked to work on an Art demo. I had like 5 days to finish and deliver. Since I got the assignment on Monday, I had to work everyday after my already busy regular work until midnight which was like working 12-13 hours a day. It got really exhausting after a while. Finally was able to deliver on Friday but had to wait like 3,5 months for the review. Was really disappointing. Finally got my rejection mail with an apology but I already gave up on Ubisoft. Probably never going to apply Ubisoft again.
