I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Mishawaka, IN) in Jul 2018
Interview
I had a great experience with the recruiter via phone. The recruiter quickly set me up to interview with the next point person for interviews, the very next day. Arrived to interview early, made introductions with the interviewer , who was more engrossed in her ipad than even bothering to keep an eye out for me or greet me with any type of enthusiasm. The interviewer had no makeup on other her winged eyeliner. Her hair had visible growth from needing to have her roots touched up . She was a negative reflection on what Ulta expects from their employee dresscode. This interviewer made sure that I knew that the only reason that she was meeting with me was because the recruiter had set up the interview. She used scripted questions and ask what the recruiter had discussed with me the previous day. This interviewer took no notes and barely made eye contact or smiled the entire hour that I interviewed with her. She did not share anything Ulta Beauty related with me the entire interview. This interviewer even went as far to share responses that she had heard from other interviewees while I was answering some of her questions. The only way that I learned anything about her as a interviewer, the store that I was interviewing for ,etc was because she allowed me to ask questions at the end. I left the interview with a very negative impression of Ulta Beauty and how they treat people who are interested in working for them. The interviewer is a long term employee whose love for Ulta Beauty the brand is definitely not apparent. The only positive and informative interaction about Ulta Beauty came from the recruiter.
Online & ghosted there’s a very quick start in the beginning but then after the first interview, I was completely ghosted and I emailed twice with zero communication back, the interviewer was very kind and polite, but the frustration was all through the lack of communication
The Interview with district manager and then one other dm , one was in person and rte other virtually over the phone on teams. Each interview was about an hour
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Indianapolis, IN)

Three interviews, with three different people. 1st with recruiter, 2nd with DM, final with Regional. Each interviewer has a different segment to ask so the same questions aren’t being asked.
