After interviewing in store with the general manager and having a very pleasant experience, I was told the position was mine and would get a call in a couple of days from the district manager who would then introduce herself and give me an offer.
A few days passed and I got the call, very much to my excitement. It ended up being a second phone interview for which I was ill-prepared, only because I was under the impression I was now in the on-boarding stages. I was then asked trick questions like "Let's say you start the job and you're finished with training, what's the first thing you do?" to which I stammered a bit, because I of course haven't been trained yet, how should I know the answer? I was then belittled and told I clearly didn't understand what the position was and that the general manager I had initially met with would be in touch in a few days. I never heard back again, not even to say they were taking things in a different direction.

The interview process had 3-steps with different managers. The store GM, a different store GM and the Area Manager. All of the questions had to do with getting to know you and asking about your experience. They also wanted to know what plans you had to improve the current operations process.
