I applied online for a location in St. Louis, and they called me for an interview 2 weeks later. I only have weekend availabilities for a part-time job, given that I have another full-time job. I never heard back from them, so I made plans for the next two weekends. They call me for an interview 2 weeks later, and wanted me to be ready to do their “on board training” that same Saturday, which I was not available because I already made plans before they called me in for an interview. They decided not to hire me due to “scheduling problems” of getting me in for training. Not to mention, the initial interview, the manager cancelled on me a few hours before my interview, and rescheduled me for the following week. The “interview” was her walking with me in the store for literally only 2 minutes, confirming which days I can work and if I have retail experience (she had my application). She never asked me any job skill questions or my knowledge in beauty/makeup (which is a lot). People wonder why retail has a hard time finding workers - this is why. They literally jerk job candidates around and expect them to alter their lives on a last second notice.
