I applied online. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Maple Grove, MN) in Jul 2013
Interview
I applied online at ulta.com and received a phone call a few days later to set up an interview. Went to the store for the interview and met with the hiring manager. She told me they really need to fill this position since it had been vacant for awhile. I also had experience in waxing and brow shaping so she was really interested in me. She wanted to hire me but I'd need to meet with the Benefits trainer first. A few days later I met up with the trainer and she asked me some sales questions and was hired on the spot.
I had a short interview with manager going over job responsibilities and my experience with waxing. They want you to be proactive about coming in with a book. They also do not have a cancellation fee policy. We also talked about scheduling a practical.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2022
Interview
Horrible interview, asked too many personal questions like if I was going to have kids soon? I’m pretty sure that’s illegal. Uncomfortable interview process and bad communication from manager. It felt unprofessional and I was shocked.
Phone interview with RAM then interview with General Manager both interviews were easy going, especially with RAM she was easy to talk to.
GM was pretty cool too but I felt like they sold me a lie through the interview
