I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Lake Charles, LA) in Jan 2015
Interview
I was first contacted after being referred for the job. They set up an interview with the district manager for a couple of days later. The interview went well and I was told that I was being recommended for the next step in the process and that is be contacted soon. A recruiter called me about 45 minutes later and set up a phone interview for the following week.
The phone interview was relaxed and not at all stressful. It went well and I was told that I would need to complete a technical assessment and a second phone interview. They set up the technical via Skype for a couple of days later. First I had to complete a profile assessment test online. It was HARD! It felt like taking an SAT. There was so much algebra! I did ok on that and then did a great job on my technical. The next morning I had my final phone interview which was much more grueling than the first. That was on a Friday. I received a call the following Tuesday with a job offer.

Question 1
What is your weakness that you have noticed about yourself?
It was pretty standarg. I wasn't expecting the 'technical interview ' but I understand 💯 why they do it. After 6 years of interviewing and conducting interviews and technicals, DO NOT SAY YOU CANT FIND MODEL! If you are looking for a CAREER and not just another job. It is so worth the extra effort!
Literally, this is the BEST company I have ever worked for. FULL BENEFITS! Medical, dental, vision, 401K, tuition reimbursement....and that's just scratching the surface (all employees were taken care of during covid and as soon as the state allowed we welcomed back to their position!). I was able to build a solid clientele in the 1st year and reach $100K in service sales within 3 years! If you are driven and want to work, you can easily make 6 figures here a year as an Elite Stylist.
So, if I COULD find model; 2 months after I had decided to completely relocate and get a fresh start, with 0 clients and living 1hr 15min from the Ulta that recruited me....YOU CAN TOO.
