Interview
Got a phone call to schedule an in-person interview with the operational manager. It was a one-on-one sit down talking about my experience in retail and leadership, organizational and teamwork skills, and examples of good performance in retail (Name a time you gave good customer service/What does good customer service mean to you? What would you do if ___? kind of questions). It was very relaxed and easygoing. For my interview, a lot more emphasis was placed on good organizational and customer service skills than experience in merchandising. The role seems like something anyone with some experience in retail and a positive attitude could learn how to do which has me hopeful for an offer! Currently waiting to hear back.

It was easy and the manager was very friendly. They don't ask you many questions specifically about cosmetics, it is purely about the merchandising experience that you have. They also ask questions regarding workplace drama and how you have dealt with it in the past. I recommend asking about the schedule because I was told it is practically on-call.
