Applied online. Manager called to interview on site. Interview consisted of a tour and questions about customer service, schedule, and general beauty knowledge and opinions. Received call a week later to start.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Estero, FL) in Jan 2017
Interview
Quick and easy because of working in retail at ulta already. Basically got hired on the spot. Started maybe a couple weeks later. Manager said she was looking for someone and me being in retail i said i would lile to try it and it was an easier process with already being in the system.

I applied online. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (San Diego, CA) in Sep 2016
Interview
There was only one interview with the salon manager in a back office. Nothing special really. She asked me to tell her about my self and why I wanted to work for ULTA and where did I see my self in the future. Than she explained detailes about the job and asked me if I had any questions. Very nice and polite. I followed up 2 weeks later but seems she wasn't sure if they where going to hire someone. Never got a call back nor di I call back.
