I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Union Bank (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2012
Interview
Recruiter found me on LinkedIn and sent message, about position I was very suited for to ask if I was interested. I had been looking but had not seen UB. Spoke with recruiter, then came in for interview with hiring manager. Interview was short, less than an hour however I felt (and was told) they wanted me at this point.
My compensation requirements exceeded the position so they brought me back for interviews with internal clients as well as senior managers. Then re-crafted the job to a high level position and offered it to me.

I originally applied for another opening. One of the Recruiters contacted me, but to discuss another opening. I interviewed with 3 people who were all very friendly and did a nice job of helping me understand the job and company culture.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Union Bank (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Initial communication regarding interest from Recruiting and follow-up phone interviews (3) was timely and efficient. Phone interview #3 was deemed 'final stage' of process. That was done one month ago with limited to no follow-up from recruiting. To date, have not received an offer or any other feedback from the Company. Not offended with lack of offer. Lack of professionalism from Recruiting / Recruiter regarding follow-up / application close-out is disappointing.
