Interview
The first round of interviews was a group presentation. We were split into groups and given a case study. The case study was about an underperforming store so we had to give suggestions as to how to improve the store. After the presentations we were questioned on what we presented. Each person in the group had to answer the same question in turn. One of the questions was "do you think that was a good presentation?". We were then told the actual outline of the UMC program. Although the online ads say you have to be geographically mobile to move around Europe, that is not true you will be placed in the London stores only. Also there isn't a 3 month placement in Japan you only get to go there for a week once the program is completed. Furthermore they expect you to work as a full time sales assistant for the first 3 months of the program. The interview was an entire waste of time. Oh and once you pass the first stage there are two additional stages, 1 being another interview with a HR member and area manager and the second being an interview with the same HR member and the CEO of European operations. Still wouldn't disclose salary until you had passed to the final stage.
Interview process was firstly Screening test --> then it was HR group interview --> progress to Interview w/ store managers + an HR manager --> In-store trial (half day) if you make it through all the above.
Overall positive. The pre-screen was easy. The assessment was very challenging but the online interview was very easy cuz you’ll be interviewing with ai and it only took like 1-2 minutes with a very general question
