I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uniqlo (West Nyack, NY)
Interview
I applied online. After reading some of the post here I realized that my interview process was different. I applied to work at the Uniqlo at the Palisades Mall. It took two weeks to get a response acknowledging my application. When they did send the email saying they got my application it also included that the interview was that very same day 4 hours later. So obviously if you were busy or something came up you couldn't reschedule the interview. Uniqlo looks for very dedicated people who wants to work there and would be willing to sacrifice time to be there. When I got there the interview was conducted right outside the store on benches. I believe everyone who applied were called to the interview because there were at least 200-400 people there (the interview time lasted 3 hours). We did not watch the video like what many people said. When I got there I was the first one, and I was handed another application to fill out supplementing my online one. After this I was interviewed one on one with the employer. She was very nice but intimidating. She did tell me the standards of Uniqlo and what to expect. The interview lasted around 5 minutes. I was extremely nervous but played off on it telling her how nervous I actually was. After I finished talking she told me I got the job on the spot. She gave me her email and then a week after she emailed me the time of the orientation.
Overall I enjoyed the interview. She did ask about my knowledge of Uniqlo and their standards. The questions were geared towards your personality and how you will benefit their company. You may have a lot of job experience but if you don't fit their criteria it would be hard to get a job.

Question 1
-What do you know about Uniqlo.
-What can you bring to the store.
-What's your style.
I got a phone call from the Talent Acquisition staff. Asked basic question about the company and availability. After the phone screening, I got a one on one interview with Store Manager.
Group interview taking turns answering given questions. Group number is 3 and you will talk to the manager and assistant manager. First you fill out a form giving available days and what hours you wish to work.
The interview took place in a hotel conference room with many other candidates. Asked us 2 super simple questions and to work in teams. Afterwards, some candidates got an interview with the HR department. They were asking each one of us the same question ( there are 2 more people with me). Overall, it wasn't the worst interview; they do not take their time to actually get to know you as a person and do not want to give you an opportunity to work part-time, because you might decide to leave to pursue your career in a year or two which I don't think is fair.
