I applied online. I interviewed at Uniqlo (Stamford, CT) in Feb 2014
Interview
I submitted my application online. Within a week or so, I received an email telling me to stop by for an interview. It wasn't by appointment. I had to stop by between 12 and 6. I decided to get there early.
There were 4 people who interviewed me: 2 from HR and the store and assistant manager of the store I applied to. The interview questions were not hard. They ask you about your experience and why you want to work for Uniqlo. I did my research beforehand so I already knew a lot about the company, which the HR people really liked. However, the two who would be running the store I applied to did not say anything during the interview, let alone even look at me. One of them spent the majority of the interview playing on his phone. At one point the store manager left the interview room to talk on his phone.
I didn't get the job, but I am happy about it because with other interviews I have had, everyone who was a part of the interview process involved themselves and were very professional. For how much they talked about wanting social people, it is astounding that the two who were in charge of running a store were the least social people.
1 interview, most important question was what does customer service mean to you? lots of basic interview questions. just know a little bit of company background would help you a lot
Generally, there will be more than one interviewer and depending on the situation, it will most likely be a group interview. The people being interviewed may all be asked the same question or different questions.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Uniqlo (Damansara) in Jan 2023
