I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Uniqlo (Santa Ana, CA) in Jul 2014
Interview
The interview process is fairly unorganized and the hiring manager is unprofessional. It is a big group interview and even though I got there on time, I waited for two hours to be interviewed.
I am a student from a target with a high GPA. I am also doing an internship but I just wanted to work a part-time job to get some extra cash. When I told the hiring manager I plan on going into finance and consulting, she frowned as if she expects me to set my long-term career goal to dedicate my life to Uniqlo as a sales associate? LOL. Like come on, I am just applying for a seasonal position... And it seems like she doesn't even really listen when I answer her questions. The questions are so superficial a toddler could answer them. How could you possibly differentiate your candidates this way?
Overall, worst interview experience I have ever had. Feel disrespected and don't see how someone with my experience and qualifications didn't get the job. Oh, they probably didn't even read my resume. Such a waste of my time.. Well, at least now I know I would never want to have anything to do with Uniqlo.

I got a phone call from the Talent Acquisition staff. Asked basic question about the company and availability. After the phone screening, I got a one on one interview with Store Manager.
Group interview taking turns answering given questions. Group number is 3 and you will talk to the manager and assistant manager. First you fill out a form giving available days and what hours you wish to work.
The interview took place in a hotel conference room with many other candidates. Asked us 2 super simple questions and to work in teams. Afterwards, some candidates got an interview with the HR department. They were asking each one of us the same question ( there are 2 more people with me). Overall, it wasn't the worst interview; they do not take their time to actually get to know you as a person and do not want to give you an opportunity to work part-time, because you might decide to leave to pursue your career in a year or two which I don't think is fair.
