I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at United Airlines (Texas City, TX) in Aug 2022
Interview
The interview process at United Airlines was well structured and professional. It started with an online application followed by a virtual/video interview. The recruiter was clear about the expectations and next steps.
The questions were mostly behavioral and focused on teamwork, customer service, and problem-solving. I recommend preparing examples using the STAR method.
Communication between rounds took some time, but overall the process felt fair and organized. The interviewers were friendly and gave me enough time to answer questions.

Question 1
One of the questions they asked me was how I would improve a specific product or customer experience at United. They wanted to understand my product thinking, prioritization framework, and how I balance business goals with customer needs.
Straightforward. Meet with a recruiter, interview with hiring manager, team members, and then on-site interview at the airport. First two were virtual or calls, but took a long time. Overall not too difficult.

Tell me about a time that you owned a project from start to finish?
I was thrown in to final phase interview right away. Manager seemed very rude but Hr manager was a nice person. At the end they asked me to email them any questions i may had. I did, they didn not respond at all. Its a reflection on the kind of people they are.

Panel interview with two individuals. Very casual. Over Zoom. Spoke about general industry. Reviewed my resume and the hiring manager asked for elaboration about certain bullet points. Made comment about how I did not have specific airline experience.
