I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at United Airlines (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
I applied online and the next day I received the email for the Hirevue interview. You have 5 days to complete the interview, I would high recommend to do the practice questions and go on glassdoor to practice the questions that were used for the Hirevue interview. I submitted my interview and the very next day I got an email inviting me to the F2F in San Francisco. I flew out on Thursday April 22nd and the Interview was on Friday the 23rd. I did the F2F and 4 days they emailed me with the TBNT (Thanks But No Thanks) email. I can reapply again in 6 months! I felt like I did well on the interview, but there were people who were already flight attendants and had the experience, which I believe are the ones who got hired. Overall it was an amazing experience and it gave me lots of practice for other airlines.

First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
