I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at United Airlines (Chicago, IL) in May 2016
Interview
After applying online, if they like your resume, you'll get an invitation email to an online interview. Requirements are a webcam and a mic (external mic) on a laptop or computer. And same requirements for an andriod, iphone, or ipad but with extra storage space to be able to upload the recorded interview video.
My suggestion: don't apply until you've got your setup ready because once you receive the invitation email for the online interview, you have only 5 days to do it before it expires and if it does, you have to wait a year before you can reapply. Be ready for the interview once you apply!
I wasn't able to get an external mic for my laptop in time so I did the interview on an ipad. If you do it this way, you'll need to have a ton of storage space. For downloading their interview app and for uploading your recorded interview. Once downloaded, there is an option to take practice sessions which I highly recommend! Be prepared for any interview questions because you cannot see what they are going to be. They will ask you a total of 6 questions during the real interview and you have 30 seconds of unrecorded planning time to come up with a good answer before each question is asked.
Instructions are given before hand in your email and before the interview. Of course keep in mind, you background setting needs to be professional as well as your attire. Hang a sheet up behind you if you need to. Remember once you do the real interview (NOT the practice ones) there is no going back. All your answers are final and you can't watch your recorded responses.
My personal opinion: I would much rather do an interview with a person. Either live online, over the phone, or face to face. Not in front of a camera feeling alone and awkward.

I applied online. I interviewed at United Airlines (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
