I applied online. I interviewed at United Airlines (San Francisco, CA) in May 2016
Interview
I applied online and received an invitation to do the video interview 2 days later. I thought I totally bombed the video interview as I have never done anything like that before. It was very awkward and uncomfortable but I got through it and UA sent me a F2F invitation 3 days later. Make sure you look professional for your video interview! They flew me out to SF the day before the in-person interview. I was so nerve wrecked that I got an hour of sleep the night before and was running off of couple of nutter butters as I had no appetite either. I took the shuttle from my hotel to SFO and promptly arrived to take the employee shuttle bus to the TK building.
I arrived about an hour early and mingled with a couple of other early birds as well. As the number of interviewees grew in the hallway the recruiters that were coming in moved us to the conference room. After everyone came in they started a slide show. After that one of the male FA did the whole introduction and introduced everybody. They called each of us one by one to confirm on our flights and to turn in a copy of our resume. After that was pretty much a waiting game until a recruiter called you for the one on one interview. BE CONFIDENT AND RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH!
After the one on one I was lead to the elevator and was shown where to get on the bus back to the airport and was told that they would get in touch with me in 1 week. After a week and 1 day to be exact I received an email from United and unfortunately I was not selected. I knew this tho bc if you are selected they hold you back for a drug test immediately but I was sent home.
if you weren't selected DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED AND DO NOT GIVE UP! Many of the recruiters themselves didn't make the cut on their first try either so re-apply in 6 months! One of the girl that was selected in my group was her 3rd time applying. Everything zoomed by so quick that it doesn't even feel like I was in SF but the overall experience has been nothing but great!

Interview
First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
