I applied for United Airlines on August 24st on September 8th; I received an invite for a video interview with the company. I immediately finished the interview that day and a couple days later I got notification to attend the F2F interview. I did my interview in Chicago because I am a local. The F2F interview was interesting. It was different from the other reviews I read. I showed up at 8:30 and I was the first one there, total, there were 11 of us. They went through an hour orientation talking about the company and the 4 recruiters interviewed us one by one. They asked basic questions, make sure you really understand the STAR interview format and only talk about what YOU did and use a real situation from past job experience. It is very important to know your resume! I also did a scenario question where you read a real FA announcement. At the end they ask if you have any questions. Make sure you ask at least one question! She told me that she was really impressed with my interview and then asked me to come back later that afternoon for another interview. That was very exciting. I waited in the Willis Tower for about an hour and headed back up in time for my next interview. They place you in the room and I was 2nd to get called. By the way, at this point we started with 11 and then there were only 4 who got invited to come back for the 2nd part. During this interview, I interviewed with one of the ladies who checked me in and someone from the United Corporate office who I didn’t see all day until I went in the room. One person will ask majority of the questions but be sure to look at both of them when answering. I can’t stress enough to make sure that you smile, smile, smile! If you leave for the day and your cheeks are not sore, you didn’t smile enough that day and you probably didn’t get the job. After they were done asking me questions, she asked me to leave the room. I waited outside in another room for about 3-5 minutes and then she came to get me to go back in the room. There they asked me if I was willing to relocate, if I can pass a background check, drug test and of course the famous, do you have any tattoos. Be honest if you do because if they are truly cover-able than you will be fine. They told me I would hear something in a few days and the next morning not even 24 hours later, I got an email saying that I have been invited to training starting in January 2017!
