I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at United Airlines (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2016
Interview
It was a fairly easy process. I had a 10 minute phone interview and then was brought into the office for an hour and a half. My first 30 minutes were with the MD and the last hour was with my manager. Questions were pretty straightforward about my background and how I approach things. No case interview, etc. They were friendly and wanted to know specific aspects of my resume but no "gotcha" questions. Employed here now :)

A lot about my past experience (automotive) and how does easily translate into the airline industry. The recruiter told me it was a behavioral interview but I had a few technical questions about financial modeling using excel.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2023
Interview
Applied online via United careers page and got an email a few days later to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. I found it odd that there was no initial screen with HR so I had no idea what their compensation range was.
Hiring manager interview was pretty standard, we went over experience and got details about the role. The typical situational behavioral interview questions were asked.
Next round was with someone at the director level and was also very conversational in nature. Similar deal here, your average behavioral interview questions were asked.
Final round was with the managing director and can be described as a culture check. This was a quicker interview, went over background and the team at United. Also had time for questions at the end. There was a final excel case that was to be done and emailed back to the HM. I pulled out of the interview process after this. Entire interview process was virtual, no in-person interviews.
