I’m still in the interview process. I applied online at United.com on 9/4 I received my invitation to do the VI on 9/7 it says in the email you have up to 5 days to complete. I was sent a reminder after two days to complete it to better my chances. I submitted my VI on 9/10. Today is 9/19 and I haven’t heard anything back. The waiting game is the tough part because I really want to be a FA. I’ve also submitted to Delta and their hiring process is a bit more vigorous. I submitted 9/1 and they responded with VI invitation on 9/17 so I’m gonna go ahead and do there’s as well but I have my fingers crossed for United! I have friends at both airlines that have been flying for about 3-4 years now and they love it. My friend with United said he was contacted to do the VI the same day of applying and after the VI set up a f2f interview the next day where he was offered the job. I’m not sure if there’s more applicants now or what but it’s not moving that fast this year. He also had no idea what the STAR method was (research it) apparently this is how they expect your answers to be formatted now. So my friend literally just smiled and answered questions to the best of his ability (without Glassdoor help) and got the job the first time. I’ve read on here that some people have made it to the f2f interview 3 times and still don’t have a job with a major airline so I’m just like wow what’s going on?! Regardless all the questions for the video interview are on here! Thank you guys so much for that because even though I’m comfortable talking into a camera I’m not the best at interviewing and having those questions answered before the recording saved me so much stress. Oh yeah I’ve seen where some people are saying you can record it as many times as you want ... that was not the case for me. However you can record your introduction (the first part) as many times as you want but when it comes to the 5 questions , you have 30 seconds to get your notes together and 3 minutes to submit your response. Unless I’m a complete idiot and didn’t see the option where it would allow you to re-record.... Study YouTube videos, memorize your question answers, be prepared! Smile, smile, smile! They’re looking for content more than delivery when it comes to the VI responses that you give. GOOD LUCK!
