I applied online. I interviewed at United Airlines
Interview
Before you read this - note that if you are told you will be emailed with further follow up- you did not make the cut - sorry but true.
I applied to UA online and received an invite to fly out to Texas to interview. I accepted, received my flight info, and tried to lock in an interview earlier in their week of interviews, but could only get a spot on their last day of interviews. I feel that my fear of the panel being tired and empathetic by this stage in the week came true. Everything about this process you have read is true. You watch a 10 minute video that reveals basic neutral information about AU and then BAM the 1:1 interviews start. You take all your bags with you and hope you nail it. My interviewer asked me basic simple questions never once referring to my resume. I almost turned around in my seat to see if she was reading from a TelePrompTer as her gaze was just slightly to the right of my head - her eyes glazed over and smile painted falsely on. It was a tad disappointing that she could not engage with me as a real person - but I'm sure I'd be worn out from all the interviews too.
Needless to say, after answering all the questions with confidence and gumption - I was not offered to come back. Please be very aware that if you are told they will email you - you have not made it.
Overall I was not impressed by their interviewing formalities. You are given 5 minutes to try and impress, woo, and pray that you somehow receive a 'like it' from that UA employee. If not, too bad.
There were a couple ladies who made it back to the 2nd round that I met on the bus as UA slyly sends everyone on the bus to make it appear as if all interviewed take the same route. If your interviewer does not slip you a piece of paper during your interview - you truly are headed to the airport. These women I meet we're only fluent in English, were dressed well but not exceptionally so, no watches, hair down and both were not in dress suits.
Good luck to you all!

Question 1
Steps you will take to ensure you are successful at training
It started with the Assessment, followed by 8 video questions, and then the video interview. The in person final interview I am waiting for. They said I would know in 2-5 business days.
Its a multi-step interview process. First a resume submission and a questionnaire, then a pre-recorded interview with a few questions. I was asked this during the pre-recorded interview. Waiting for my live virtual interview!
