I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Oct 2018
Interview
Applied: 09/23
VI: 09/30
F2F: 10/16
CJO: 10/16 on the spot
I applied to United Airlines and within a week of me applying I received the request for the montage video interview. (I highly recommend using Glassdoor to be prepared). No retakes on answers which may be different from other airlines.
I was flown out to Houston the day before my F2f by United and got my own hotel room. Morning of the interview the actual interviewing process began at 9ish and was completed with a job offer at 11:30pm. Got shuttled to the airport for drug, vision, and hearing testing before my flight back home.
Interviewer was very friendly and personable. Make sure every question is tied back to great customer service and safety. United is very traditional so dress accordingly. Be confident, personable, and excited to be there. YOU WILL GET NERVOUS but push through.
5 Step process, several stages of vetting. Application, assessment, pre-recorded interview, live virtual interview, in person interview. Hardest was in person interview. Practice STAR format. They check to make sure you pass the tattoo requirements several times throughout. Also valid passport as well as background check and DOT drug test.
