I applied on Feb 14th, 2019. I received an emailing thanking me for applying. I received another email from them next day Friday February 15th inviting me to complete the video interview. They gave me five days to complete. I spent most of that afternoon watching YouTube videos about the airlines interview process, questions and advice. Then all evening I specifically researched in detail the threads on GlassDoor which had advice & ACTUAL questions United will ask. I wrote as many as I could down by hand. This morning I answered them by hand. Then I typed them out; made notes & highlighted certain points to help me. Then I got ready: I wore everything I would fo a real interview. Even pantyhose! I wore a plain pearl necklace and earrings - as suggested. I wore a black blazer and black pants & cream blouse. I wore FULL make-up and bright red lipstick (as suggested). I went through all of the questions one by one and practiced with my webcam. It was SO helpful. I did this 2 or 3 times. Then I went for it...I figured they couldn’t get any better or worse. Lol, We’ll see if I get a face-to-face interview out of it. I did my best, I thought it went well - I smiled and tried to appear very upbeat & positive. We will see....Please please please research United, their “brand”, their mission statement and their core values. I would have been dead in the water had I not done that. It helped me implement their own verbiage into my answers so I would show that I am a good candidate.

5 Step process, several stages of vetting. Application, assessment, pre-recorded interview, live virtual interview, in person interview. Hardest was in person interview. Practice STAR format. They check to make sure you pass the tattoo requirements several times throughout. Also valid passport as well as background check and DOT drug test.
