I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter within about two weeks. Talked to them on the phone about the position and expressed why I was interested. About two weeks later (after Christmas break) the recruiter reached out to set up an in-person interview. I flew up to Chicago for about a 45 minute interview where hiring managers asked questions out of a standardized behavioral question packet. Interview went well and they said they were finishing interviews over the next week and would be in contact the following. I never heard back from the recruiter or anyone from United and it has been over two months since I was at HQ in person. This is the second United interview I have had in six months that has been the same process, including being flown up for an in-person interview, that has resulted in no contact from the organization. Throughout the process I had to follow up multiple times with my point of contact to get any information and insight as to where they were with their hiring timeline, often my emails went ignored. After going through the United recruiting process on two separate occasions with two separate recruiters to experience the same lack of communication speaks volumes about the lack of organization within the talent acquisition team.
