I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Chicago, IL) in May 2015
Interview
I applied online and was notified by email my application was moving forward. I was then again notified by email about being invited to take a video interview. I did the video interview and was then emailed to contact inflight recruiting if I was interested in doing a group interview. I called and was told they would fly me to Chicago the next week for a group interview. They pay for you airfare. I had to pay for my accommodations (used AirBNB not a hotel), had to also pay for transportation to and from airport and interview. They have everybody sit in a nice conference room and watch a short video and then a few speakers give some general info. They call people back one by one. I was called back first so I have NO idea how long everyone else waited. My interview was maybe ten minutes long with four people, one person actually doing the interview. I was asked several questions then told they would step outside and I was to write down three things about myself. I believe when they do this they go out and decide if you are in or out. They came back in and told me I would get an email in about a week and to have a nice flight home. I knew right then I was eliminated. Really sucked. If they do not keep you for the second round of questions they are NOT going to hire you. I was done within an hour. I wasted alot of money and time and I feel like they never had a true interest in me. It is as if they have to interview a certain amount of people each round. Some of us interviewees are simply just practice.

First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
