An person interview at United Way of Erie County. Interviewed for the Marketing Communications Manager position. Initially contacted via phone to schedule an in-person interview and was told I would be meeting with the Vice President of Marketing and Communications only. Interview was a panel interview instead of solo interview with Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Telling a candidate interview will be with one person instead of a panel is a big red flag. The other red flag was something one of the interviewers said which was: "Wow, that was the fastest interview ever". Instead of saying this to a candidate, maybe offer feedback to them after the interview. Interviews are a two way street. As much as candidates are being interviewed so are interviewers. Parking at United Way of Erie is a nightmare. There’s only enough spots for those who work there. A piece of advice: be upfront with candidates about who they will be interviewing with.
