My experience with UHG/Optum was horrible. They were very unprofessional. i was interviewed at the beginning of April. After 5-7 days(17th April), i got call from their recruitment team that my candidature has been selected for further discussions and as part of the process, they asked me for the mandatory documents which were shared by me immediately. I didn't hear back anything for next 20-25 days. They called me up in the mid of May and said that their is some issue at the backend due to which the process is getting delayed. At the end of May, the company recruiter called me and said that my BGV has been initiated and asked me to upload the required documents for BGV. I was shocked because until that time compenstaion structure was not even discussed. Anyways, i uploaded the documents and the process took almost 2-3 weeks. By the end of June, i again got a call from them stating that backend issue is fixed now and they will call me back soon(withing a day) to discuss salary. I never received any call from them again for next 2-3 days. I called them to check the status and the recruiter told me that hiring manager wants to have discussion with me again and said that they will call me again to communicate the timings for the same but they called me again after 2-3 days(end of June) and to my shock they said that the hiring manager is saying that they don't have much work for me so they cannot hire anyone for this position. I was surprised to get the this response because "were they initially not clear about the requirement and workload?" If they were, then why at first point they called the candidates for this opening including me and wasted our time and efforts. From April to June, they literally harassed me mentally. This kind of unprofessional behaviour was not expected from organisation like UHG which is Fortune number 6th company in the world.
