I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Basking Ridge, NJ) in Oct 2015
Interview
The process took roughly 2 weeks from initial contact by the recruiter:
1. I responded to a recruiter job ad via email
2. I was contacted by a 3rd party company used to pre-screen and was formally submitted on the job ad
3. I had phone interview with rep contracted by UHG to pre-screen my skill set and domain knowledge
4. I had in-person interview with two UHG managers where they described the overall vision and job responsibilities. We had substantive questions and answers designed to see what I would do in the role as well as show whether I had performed that type of role in the past with sufficient competencies.
5. Had I progressed to the final round, I would have had one last phone interview with a UHG manager in that position.
Note that during this process, I watched the UHG video on their job website designed to see if I was a fit for their culture. I also looked up their organizational structure and challenges facing that industry sector.
