I am convinced this organization is scamming interviewees to protect their PPP loan. This is my story:
I applied for Distance Education Advisor and was contacted by their recruiter within two days offering an interview, which felt promising.
The interview went well and I met with the recruiter and the Dean/head of the Distance Education Department.
They reached out to me again shortly after to advise that they would like to move forward with a second interview, where I would be meeting with the president of the college.
The interview was an hour and a half long. I met with the president, the dean, all of the current advisors, and HR. The interview went very well...or so I thought.
They seemed very interested in hiring me and asked me how soon I could start. HR then let me know that they would be reaching out to me with benefit information and their decision shortly. They said, "We usually get back to you within a week, but you will probably hear from us before then."
A week went by. I heard nothing.
I emailed the recruiter finally after 2 weeks... No reply.
Emailed him again the following week, along with HR and the Dean.
Finally, the recruiter answered me and told me that the process was taking longer than they expected and that I would hear within the end of the month.
The end of the month came and went.
I emailed again asking for an update. Crickets.
Another two weeks and I wrote a final email asking for them to please at least let me know if I DIDN'T get the job.
This was in November. Today, they have not had the decency to reply to me. They have completely ghosted me.
I also just saw that they re-posted the job listing on Linked In the other day.
Another thing that I found odd is that they never once asked me for references or a background check, yet they told me they didn't need anything else and they would be making their decision shortly. RED FLAG.
BEWARE!! I have never felt so disrespected by a company before.
