From the beginning, they asked me very specific questions about my role, experience and motivation to change. I always had to provide examples on how I manage my skills in my job. The often insist on the fact that Amazon is "frugal", and they are very informal... to the extent that this approach soon becomes "differently formal".

I received a phone screening interview about 2 weeks after online application. They asked the "tell me about yourself" type questions. So have your "elevator" speech down - the basic outline of your resume. They won't ask anything specific about your background because it's probably an HR person who just wants to get a feel for you. I decided to not move forward because it's not a good fit.
