I had a recruiter phone screen than 2 more calls, one with the hiring manager and another person from the team. Followed by 4-hour onsite with the leadership team and lunch with a group of employees.
Everything was professional until after. They didn't bother to follow up, even though I sent thank you notes and even got a response from the hiring manager that was neither here nor there. Given they are a mature team from Google and the recruiter was very experienced, I found this incredibly unprofessional. It takes a few minutes to give closure and possibly provide some feedback. The role is still open months later so doesn't seem like there is an immediate need.
This role was a bit of a wild card and reported into sales because their entire marketing team is a growth team focused on consumers, while this role would be building out the B2B side of things. I don't think they fully understand how to do that since the market knows them for consumer credit.
