I understand that leaving this review may hurt my chances, if I had any to begin with, but the experience warrants transparency.
I was contacted by a recruiter within a week of applying for this role, which initially seemed promising. However, the process quickly broke down due to poor communication. We are now going into week four and I have yet to complete even a basic introductory phone screening. A full month spent trying to simply get on a calendar.
I have responded promptly to every email, starting from the very first attempt to schedule. Despite this, communication is consistently delayed or left unanswered. In our most recent exchange the previous Wednesday, I was asked if I was available Monday afternoon. I responded within an hour confirming availability, and as of Monday afternoon there has still been no reply. This pattern has repeated throughout the process.
To speak personally, I am currently unemployed like many others navigating a difficult job market. My current situation is already hard and I do not need it to be made harder. There is no reasonable explanation for it taking this long just to schedule an initial call. The repeated delays and lack of follow-through come across as disorganized and unprofessional. If there are internal issues, a paused role, or changes in hiring plans, that should be communicated clearly. As it stands, the experience reflects poorly on the company’s hiring process.
