I was made aware of a new Urban Outfitters opening at the Younge and Eglinton center online, so i sent in a resume. Right away i received an automated email letting me know about open interviews being held at the beginning of February. I went to the open interviews and it was a group interview. Myself and about 4 or 5 other people were called in and were asked fairly simple questions as the interviewer wrote (or didn't write) our answers down. It's hard to gauge with open interviews, because it's really up in the air what kind of things they're looking for. (whether it's appearance/experience/personality, etc.) A few days after the interview, I received an invitation via email to participate in an online quiz/assessment regarding loss prevention (they're very big on that) drugs, tardiness, etc. Some of the questions were really out there, but you really need to pay attention not only to what they're asking, but why they're asking it. A few days later, within the same week, I was called and they wanted to interview me. I went into the Yonge street location and the interview was one-on-one. The interviewer was really nice and made you feel very comfortable. The questions asked were pretty basic interview questions, some repeats of questions asked at the open interviews. Finally about a week later, I received a call where they verified my availability, let me know the wage I would start at, and offered me the position.
