I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Urban Outfitters in Oct 2019
Interview
First interview was a video recorded series of questions. 2nd was on the phone with a recruiter. 3rd was on the phone with a manger from the store. 4th was at the store with the regional manger. Very comprehensive.
The interview process was easy and very casual. They asked basic interview questions. There were a couple of rounds of interviews with different levels of management and they made everyone do a background check.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Urban Outfitters (London, England) in Feb 2017
Interview
The whole process took around 2 months and was completed in 4 stages, a phone interview with recruitment, a face to face interview with a member of recruitment, an interview with the store manager and finally an interview with the womenswear department manager. Following my final interview I was contacted within a few hours to discuss how the interview went I was then informed I would be contacted the following Monday with a decision. However I was not contacted I sent an email to the recruitment department to see if there was any progress on the decision however I did not receive a response. I then called the following Monday after having not heard anything a week after being told I would, I was informed by recruitment that the store manager had not yet come to a decision but she would contact me by the end of the day with an outcome, again I did not get a response. I then called the following Monday where I was assured I would hear back again with a decision wether my interview was successful or unsuccessful....again no phone call. By the following week I had not heard anything this has now been 3 weeks after my final interview and being told 3 times I would be contacted by a certain time and them failing to, I made one last phone call in the hopes of getting a straight answer, I called recruitment one last time to be told my interview was unsuccessful, I have no doubt in my mind they were hoping I would stop contacting them to avoid telling me I had not got the job. Anyone considering applying for a job with urban outfitters should be very wary of this and I would in no way recommend anyone applying for a job with them, they completely wasted my time and acted in such an unproffesional manner. Even after receiving positive feedback about my interview with the store manager I could then be completely ignored is outrageous. The recruitment office needs a serious investigation into the way they treats candidates, or some serious training needs to be done.
