So I dropped off a resume and made a call the next week and the week after and they said they hadn't processed the applications yet and they said they would get back to me. 28 days later I had my first interview, it was a group interview upstairs and it was very hard to get a say in because when the interviewers asked a question people were incredibly jumpy to answer! And then they move on to the next question so you have to try and get a say. After that interview they sent you home with an online drug test, did that and had my second interview 8 days later with the store manager. That went well, we did it outside where it was quiet and she just wanted to see how dedicated you wanted to be and how well you would fit the job description. The entire interview she basically described the whole job description making it sound like I pretty much had the job. The last thing she asked me was how much I made at my old job, how she couldn't match that and didn't have a quote and they'd get back to me within a week. I called once every week for 6 weeks until I was finally given an offer but it took them forever to get a hold of my references! She told me about the orientation, she was very apologetic each time I called saying "there's been so much going on" and "we didn't forget about you" and I just always sounded understanding but still pushy. They offered $9.00 an hour and I accepted.
