I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Urban Outfitters in Feb 2010
Interview
The interview process was actually very different, laid back and interesting! I am so accustomed to interviews which consist of being very formal but this one...wow! They want you to dress as if you were working for them (awesome!! plus I could wear my piercings!) They were expecting a load of people to show up but only 6 interviewed (they needed to hire 26). They asked about what you think good customer service is, and if you've never worked retail then they'll ask what you think it consists of (2 of us had no retail experience and were hired) they ask about availability, what fashion trend that you hate and a fluke/weird question (ours was which ninja turtle did we like). Really laid back. After that open interview, we were given slips of paper that contained info to take an online test where you have to be opinionated. You have to do this and have it sent in or else you're not going to get hired.

I applied online. I interviewed at Urban Outfitters (Pasadena, CA)
Interview
The interview is done in a group of about 5-10 people. A manager asks a couple of behavioral questions, and everyone goes around answering. The vibes are pretty chill, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't prepare! It just means you don't have to be nervous.
