Interview
I had a phone screening and then invited for an interview with the Business Development Team Lead.
As soon as I got there I started to worry, they are based in a 1970's Portacabin. The interview started with the HR representative telling me they have decided to interview me for Business Development role instead and not the job I applied for, the interview steadily went down hill from their. It was more of an interrogation from the BD Team Lead, he either has no idea how to conduct an interview or runs a sweat shop environment. The interview went on for over an hour and nothing of any value was discussed it was more an exercise in trying to pick holes and inflate the egos of those sat across me.
I asked about the Glassdoor reviews towards the end of the interview because I had already decided that I would never work for them and was given the usual answer of disgruntled employees. It's worth going to meet with Usablenet just to see what could happen if you don't work hard in your career.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Usablenet
Interview
Very disorganized. Originally scheduled to have a phone interview which the recruiter never called and had to reschedule. After the phone interview, I followed up with the recruiter twice but never heard back.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Usablenet (New York, NY) in Apr 2013
Interview
Strictly behavioral, no case questions. You meet with several people on your hiring team -- colleagues and managers. Generally unstructured. You do a resume walk through, and answer some basic behavioral interview questions. It seems like "culture fit" is a big thing when evaluating new hires.
