      Inside Sales Manager Interview

      Feb 2, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at V12 in Jan 2015

      Interview

Director of Recruiting reached out to me and suggested that I might be right for the position. Sent her my resume, and was promptly scheduled for an interview. Chic Red Bank location in new office building; attractive office space with modern hipster vibe and connected by walkway with free garage parking. Don't let the relaxed dress code fool you, though - this is a company full of Type-A, driven people who love what they do! Interviewers were prepared and verbose, clearly excited about their product and direction of the company, and looking for like-minded people to join their ranks.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

When the CEO asked me, "What's the first thing you would do as Inside Sales Manager?" I had an immediate answer, but I wasn't ready for his follow-up, which was, "Do you do that now, in your current position?" My answer was "No," but only because my current employer did not allow it - and I found myself feeling awkward because I didn't want to bad-mouth my current company, but couldn't quickly think of another way to defend my answer. He graciously let it go and moved on, thank goodness!
