I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Vail Resorts (Vail, CO) in Jun 2013
Interview
Vail Resorts Corporate Office contacted me within one day of submitting my application for a preliminary interview. We were able to schedule another interview with the head of the department I was applying to within the week. To be honest the reason I wound up working for Vail and not another ski resort was because of their timely interview process. I was offered a job and arranged to move before any other resorts even contacted me for an interview.

Question 1
What would you do if one of your students was falling asleep during the lesson?
I got a call from the hiring manager, she asked if I can ski blue runs comfortably. I told her I could, and then I was hired. It was very simple and straightforward, although it is somewhat difficult to get housing if you’re not full time.
between 45 minutes and an hour asked about past experience goals education hobbies pretty straightforward every resort pretty much has the same set of questions, and interviews last same amount of time
Two phone screens. Super friendly on the calls. They wanted to learn about my history skiing and why I was interested in becoming an instructor. After the offer was given to me they were great about answering questions I had about the position.
