I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vail Resorts (Keystone, CO) in Sep 2009
Interview
It was a simple process, almost too simple. I applied in the office, they called me a few weeks before ski season and I interviewed. They asked questions about how good I was with kids and leading groups, but nothing about how I could ski. They said they could teach me to ski if I didn't know, but kid-friendly people were harder to come by.

I got a call from the hiring manager, she asked if I can ski blue runs comfortably. I told her I could, and then I was hired. It was very simple and straightforward, although it is somewhat difficult to get housing if you’re not full time.
between 45 minutes and an hour asked about past experience goals education hobbies pretty straightforward every resort pretty much has the same set of questions, and interviews last same amount of time
Two phone screens. Super friendly on the calls. They wanted to learn about my history skiing and why I was interested in becoming an instructor. After the offer was given to me they were great about answering questions I had about the position.
