Interview
For leadership nursing roles, a new process is in place that is really intimidating and bazaar. Applicants meet with several groups over a few hours. One group is upper administration, one is peers, and one is management. They take turns asking all scenario questions and you must state what you did and the outcome. Everything you say is written down and then it is scored. It is an event in which several applicants participate, but each is interviewed with the group individually.

Filled out application. I had an interview with HR. Questions back and forth. Very pleasant experience. I felt like I was overqualified for the position they needed filled. I was concerned that I wouldn’t get enough hours. The interview went well. They were very nice.

A recruiter reached out to ask me some preliminary questions to see if I would be a good fit. Afterwards, we set up a video interview with the unit. It was a video interview because I was an out of state candidate. The interview consisted of the standard nursing interview questions and 2 nursing leaders present. I was able to prepare by just looking up example questions online. After the interview, the recruiter reached out to me the same day with a job offer.
