The interview process was pretty straightforward. I applied online and received a call from the recruiter same day. She asked me questions such as Why Vanguard? Why the financial industry? What is a stock, bond mutual fund, ETF (Exchange Traded Fund)? I was then scheduled an in person interview which was about 3 weeks after the phone interview. You will first listen to a presentation about Vanguard, the benefits and training. There is a Q & A right after in the same room where you are able to ask a person in this particular role questions about the position. You will be given a case study packet that you will have about 15 minutes to look over before the interviewers come in to get you. Once you are in the room with the interviewers you will answer questions pertaining to the case study. The case study involves a situation where someone needs a transaction completed right before closing time and there is a slight issue with the application. Just make sure you are focused on the customer and meeting there needs at all times. You will then conduct a role play of a similar situation. The next interview are behavioral questions. All of your answers shoudl be geared towards providing excellent customer service and putting your clients/customers first. Expect to be there at least 2 hours.
