I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Malvern, PA) in Aug 2016
Interview
Initial phone interview and then day long onsite interview that included presentations, 1 case study, and 2 one hour one on one interviews. They also give you breakfast and lunch for the onsite interview
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1 hour technical interview with basic Java and OOP questions and 1 hour behavioral interview
This was pre-pandemic but
1 - 3 coding questions sent via email
2 - phone interview where they ask behavioral questions
3 - onsite interview. They pay for your hotel, lasts from around 8 AM - 2PM . Asked technical, behavioral and given powerpoints on what to expect with the company.
However, they claimed you get reimbursed for traveling expenses and that it would take 4-6 weeks. It's been 3 months and I still haven't been reimbursed. Tried contacting, lady said she'd give reimbursement the following Monday, she never did and now she never responds. False promises early makes me believe this is a scam company.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Charlotte, NC) in Aug 2018
Interview
Super day with two interviews and presentations. One technical and one more behavioral. Tech interview included a case study that was kind of just a programming question. Basically, "How would you implement this feature". Wouldn't sorry too much about it.

What is a pointer? What is a stack and how would you use one? How would you tell if two strings are permutations?
