I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Scottsdale, AZ) in Jul 2013
Interview
Brief phone interview then I was flown into Scottsdale for 2 interviews and tour with 10 other candidates. Sense they prefer hiring recent college graduates? Was nice they paid for the flight and hotel, picked me up at the airport in a limo as well. Nice touch.

Question 1
Role play was a challenge and depending on the person you are role playing with makes a difference. I kept getting "no" when I provided a solution. If you get a more experienced interviewer be prepared for a tougher role play.
The interview process was pretty standard, starting with a phone interview and then moving to a virtual team meeting with the recruiter. Very friendly and open to answering your questions.

Question 1
What do you know about Vanguard?
Tell me about a time... handling a customer, difficulties, multitasking
Seamless process with very kind people. They made it easy to talk about my experience prior and answered all of my questions honestly. They went by fairly quickly but it felt more like a conversation than an interview.

I applied online. I interviewed at Vanguard (Malvern, PA)
Interview
Got a phone interview that lasted 20 minutes asking about your background and why you are interested in the company. Then they schedule for another with the hiring manager virtually.
