I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Vanguard (Scottsdale, AZ) in Jan 2014
Interview
I was first contacted by a recruiter through my school, asking me for a date and time that would work best for a phone interview. I was then flown to there Scottsdale campus for a day of interviews.

Question 1
Name a current financial topic you're interested in?
Name a time when you went above and beyond for a customer?
The interview process was pretty standard, starting with a phone interview and then moving to a virtual team meeting with the recruiter. Very friendly and open to answering your questions.

Question 1
What do you know about Vanguard?
Tell me about a time... handling a customer, difficulties, multitasking
Seamless process with very kind people. They made it easy to talk about my experience prior and answered all of my questions honestly. They went by fairly quickly but it felt more like a conversation than an interview.
