I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Scottsdale, AZ) in May 2022
Interview
The interview process now is a camera off phone screening with a couple behavioral questions and making sure you understand the job. Previously, we submitted a statement of interest, resume, and a brief list of our skills. During that time, it was a 60 minute interview with all behavioral questions pertaining to leadership. There were two interviewers who asked questions - it felt low stakes but it was obviously a high stakes interview. I received at least 6 "STAR" questions (situation, task, action, result) and had to tell my full story including impact.

Question 1
For year end reviews, your crew member self-assessed as Distinguished while you rated them as Further Development Needed. When you give the review, the crew member gets defensive and angry. How do you handle this situation?
Multiple step interview using the STAR method. Unfortunately it’s about who you know and not the ability to successfully do the job. Opportunity to advance are slim, especially in the Charlotte offices.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Vanguard (Scottsdale, AZ) in May 2017
Interview
First a phone interview for about thirty minutes, then an in person interview that can last a couple hours total. Phone was behavioral based questions, in person was more specific to finance. Use STAR format and be friendly and personable.
