I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Scottsdale, AZ) in Feb 2016
Interview
Applied online, received an e-mail within 3 business days to set up a phone interview. Phone Interview lasted roughly 50 minutes; the recruiter asked a few questions about myself, why I am interested in Vanguard, 3-5 behavioral questions, and asked me to explain what a Mutual Fund is. A tip here is to relate your answers back to excellent customer service as much as possible; they love it if you show empathy, passion, etc. This part of the phone interview lasted a little longer than 20 minutes. She then asked if I had any questions for her - this took around 10 minutes. After all of my questions were answered, she talked briefly about moving forward in the interview process and asked when we could schedule a final interview. We then talked at length about what the final interview will consist of, travel arrangements, my answers that stood out to her, what qualities they were looking for, and general tips/advice for the final interview.
Flying out to Scottsdale in a few hours for the final interview
