I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Vanta (Boston, MA) in Apr 2022
Interview
Call with recruiter went great. Second call was a very different call from any other sales interview I've had. He told me it'd be a casual call to go over experience and history. Call went okay, was very dry and high level overview. At end I was told that my pitching style was different and maybe not best for this role. Expectations weren't set properly from the beginning. When I'm told it's a "casual" call to go over resume, I do just that.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked about my experience and not many more after that.
Long process but thought provoking. There were 5 steps and I got to the fourth, I wasn't sure how many other people were being considered at that point. It was a good process but I would've like to know where I stood
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What's one piece of hard feedback your manager gave you?
Where's one deal where you failed and how did you improve in the future?
The process began with a recruiter screening, seems to proceed to manager meeting, then panel round for the final interview in the process. The recruiter seemed disoriented, transferred between two recruiters, then back to the original recruiter. They last minute rescheduled meetings, then rescheduled again, and then finally showed up late to the call. Further meetings were established, missed, and then ultimately a generic email was sent denying the proceeding of future round interviews.
The company has poor reviews already, but I felt I'd give them an honest try. If things are this poor starting at recruiting, the rumors must be true. Would not recommend this company to future employees.
Standard interview. Long process with recruiter. Asked about sales experiences.
Very upfront on the expectations and responsibilities
Didn’t get offered the job but was not a bad experience overall in my opinion
